Demonology Warlock Leveling Guide 0/33/8

If you’re playing WoW and you have decided to roll a warlock, you probably know that not all warlocks are created the same. Some seem much more powerful than others. One warlock may go to fight a mob and die trying, while another warlock of the same level may handle the very same mob without batting an eye. While some of the warlock’s power comes from player skill and spell rotation, much of it has to do with how you build your talent tree.

Of course while you’re leveling up to 10 the game play is all par for the course, but once you hit level 10 and begin building your talent tree, everything changes. Putting your points in the wrong places is a recipe for disaster.

Demonology may not be the most popular build for leveling a warlock, but many players will swear by it. The demonology build will provide you with buffs for your pets, allowing you to use your pet as a tank (keeping you away from damage) and helps you kill the mobs more quickly. Demonology also increases your survivability, making it easier to come out of tough situations without a walk back from the graveyard. If you’re going to level solo, putting your talent points in demonology may indeed be the way to go.

With that being said, when you put your points into the demonology talent tree, you have to make sure you spend them wisely. If you want to get the most from your talent points as you level in the game, the following build has proven to be quite powerful.

The following talent tree build will help you level more quickly and increase your power. You will need to put your points in the talent tree in the order provided below:

Demonology:

  • 3 Points in Demonic Embrace
  • 2 Points in Fel Synergy
  • 3 Points in Dark Arts
  • 2 Points in Mana Feed
  • 2 Points in Demonic Aegis
  • 2 Points in Demonic Rebirth
  • Demonic Empowerment
  • 2 Points in Improved Health Funnel
  • 3 Points in Impending Doom
  • Hand of Gul’dan (Summons a falling meteor upon the enemy target).
  • Inferno (Allows you to channel Hellfire while moving).
  • 2 Points in Decimation
  • 1 Point in Molten Core
  • 2 Points in Cremation
  • 1 Point in Demonic Pact
  • 1 Point in Aura of Foreboding
  • 1 Point in Molten Core
  • Metamorphosis (Allows you to transform into a demon for 30 seconds, gaining armor and damaging abilities).
  • 1 Point in Molten Core
  • 1 Point in Ancient Grimoire

Destruction

  • 3 Points in Shadow and Flame
  • 2 Points in Improved Immolate
  • 3 Points in Bane

By the time you have spent these talent points your warlock will be at level 85. This build will give you the most solo power, allowing your pet to take most of the damage, and will help you plow through the mobs more quickly, gaining more XP and leveling faster.
